Why did I have to run into this fercocht scientist?!
Han Solo mumbled to himself. It was supposed to be a simple run - just one
small load of Texarkian brandy, in 28 hours, to the planet of Goreria. But, no,
nothing had turned out simple. First they ran into the Bride; a former dancer
running from her wedding, pursued not only by local imperial law enforcement,
but also by some band of colorful renegade assassins. Admittedly, she was cute.
So it wasn’t a total loss. But having had to approach the planet via that
out-of-the-way base had been a mistake. The old man who promised a short cut
had turned out to be a real problem.
“How could I have known that this Brandy was
for the celebration of the destruction of the icecaps to make way for Imperial
annexation in the wake of near total planet wide destruction?!” Han shouted to
Chewie. He got a series of grunts as a response, as the pursuers laser beams
singed the hull of the Millennium Falcon.
